A solution-specialising manufacturer are hiring for a
Production Operative to join them at their newly renovated factory in
Rainford,
St Helens.

Distributing their product nationwide to a host of industries, you will be joining a thriving business who pride themselves on their high-quality products.


Reporting into the Welding Manager, you will be tasked with linishing products using grinders and sanding belts to flatten and smooth metal surfaces ready for the next stage of the manufacturing process.

  • Thursday 7:00am 3:30pm / 12:30pm finish on Friday

What will you be doing as a Production Operative?

  • Grinding welds on the metal products to ensure they are smooth and flat
  • Producing quality work to company / customer standards
  • Movement of panels to enable grinding to be completed efficiently
  • Collaborating with colleagues to assist in the lifting of heavy panels
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in direct working environment

What do you need?

  • Experience working with handheld grinders preferred
  • Experience in linishing / polishing / deburring or finishing metal products
  • The ability to work well within a team
  • Excellent communication & time management skills
  • FLT licence would be an advantage
