Pay Rate:
up to £39.15/hr Umbrella (inside IR35)

Position

The role sits within the CEO / Chief of Staff function, responsible for all strategy, planning and delivery of successful motorsport activities.

Within this function is the Motorsport Finance department whose responsibility includes the overall management,control, governance and reporting of approved motorsport programme budgets.

Embedded within the Motorsport department the Finance team members remain part of the wider Finance Function.

This role provides a genuine opportunity to help shape and influence the future direction and success of the function, playing a key part in the transition into a more challenging regulatory environment, but also supporting the success of the team primarilyin the Technical area (R&D, Race Team and Sporting).

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Lead liaison with regards to Programme Management and Compliance Reporting
Support deployment of Financial Strategy within approved multiyear programmes
Undertake analysis supporting management to achieve financial, operational and strategic objectives
Coordinate and support the delivery of contractual obligations to avoid any negative impact to the reputation of the business
Explain actual to forecast variances and drive delivery of targets with stakeholders and partners
Identify causes for variance and drive corrective actions with operational stakeholders to mitigate Risk and deliver on Opportunities
Support the implementation of the new FIA Financial Regulations and ensure ongoing compliance, and lead the reporting process
Develop and deliver standard and adhoc, streamlined financial reporting to stakeholder team to support the strategic direction of the business, as well as compliance to the new Financial Regulations
Work closely with GFS / MI&A to ensure timely and accurate completion of month end, quarter end and annual reporting processes including coordination of Annual Report and Companies House filing
Support P2P processes in respect of Sponsorship and Technical Partnership activities
Contractual support and financial reviews of Single Supply and bespoke agreements
SME for the new FIA Financial Compliance IT platform

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Previous experience in Finance Business Partner role gained at a similar level
Financial and commercial acumen shown introducing innovative processes to support strategic business goals
Strong numerical, analytical skills with conscientious attention to detail
Good communication and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and nurture relationships, especially with 3rd parties
A continuous improvement mind set with the ability to identify and implement efficient solutions and enhancements
Robust understanding of Compliance and Accounting
Strong IT skills, particularly with Excel and Power Point
A determined individual, highly driven, committed and resultsorientated who works with pace, energy and confidence
An individual who is resilient, energetic and enthusiastic, responds constructively to new ideas and input in a changing business environment
Ability to build strong relationships with a wide variety of personalities

Education/Qualifications

Understanding of SAP ERP system
Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred
CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified (partQualified considered)

Location: Gaydon, Oxford area, Remote: fairly even split but depending on requirements
