We are currently seeking a talented Senior Net Zero Consultant to join an esteemed team of experts at a well-established London-based consultancy with a strong focus on helping public bodies decarbonise their buildings.
As a Net Zero Consultant, you will play a vital role in shaping the sustainable future by staying ahead of the curve on current legislation, innovation, and sustainability drivers in the public sector providing clients with best-practice guidance, helping them navigate the complexities of decarbonisation.
Qualifications:
- Recognised degree in a relevant technical or business discipline
- Membership of recognised professional body
- Taking part in bids for Low Carbon Skills Fund (LCSF) and Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS)
- Experience in sustainability within the public sector or consulting, including complex project delivery and change management.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effectively conveying business strategies and messages to stakeholders.
- Experience in line management, program management, and budget management.
- Good understanding of sustainability in the public sector, including technical knowledge and knowledge of client service requirements, structures, and governance.
Job Description:
- Stay updated on current legislation, innovation, and drivers for sustainability in the public sector to provide clients with bestpractice guidance.
- Support bid preparation for prospective clients.
- Lead scoping, delivery, and monitoring of client projects, including heat decarbonisation plans, green and travel plans, and wider sustainability advisory.
- Advise clients on clean technology procurement frameworks, including LED lighting and net zero carbon delivery.
- Deliver recommendations based on carbon and energy data for annual reporting and net zero strategy management.
- Develop and mentor junior staff and contribute to shaping team operations.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and other service lines to integrate sustainability into projects and advance the net zero agenda.
