The University of Portsmouth Academy Trust (UPAT) is seeking an outstanding individual to take on the role of CEO, leading delivery of our mission to improve the educational outcomes and life chances for local communities in the Portsmouth Harbour region.
We are committed to inclusivity, lifelong learning and ensuring our learners are equipped to succeed at every stage from nursery to higher education.
Our shared mission is to build capacity to support and grow educational excellence across the region, working with other schools and colleges, Academy Trusts and education providers.
UPAT will deliver a sustainable model of educational improvement through a culture of collaboration, openness and partnership working, underpinned by support from the University of Portsmouth.
The position requires a dynamic leader with the skills and expertise to network and effectively engage and inspire a wide range of internal and external stakeholders; strong people skills and the ability to articulate our vision are essential.
A strategic thinker with the ability to motivate others even when things are tough, the CEO will build and develop the Trust's staff and provide leadership for our professional community of teachers and leaders, creating a positive organisational culture that prioritises self-reflection and continuous improvement.
A commitment to demonstrating the highest standards in all areas of professional life and a shared belief in the power of education and learning to transform children's life chances and choices is essential to the role.
