We are seeking to recruit experienced and dedicated Primary school teaching assistants in Denbighshire.The school we recruit for requires Primary school teaching assistants who can support classes in the Foundation Phase right up to Keystage 2 and we are looking for Teaching Assistants in or around Denbighshire who have at least 3 months experience working with children and have passion for helping children and their well-being.
As a Welsh Government framework staffing provider, we will give you the opportunity to work in Primary, Secondary, and SEN schools as well as numerous privately run education provisions across Wales.
Teaching Assistants who have been placed there in the past have all had positive experiences and have said they felt really supported in the role.
Overview:
- Title: Primary School Teaching Assistant
- Pay: £69.20 to £75 per day
- Location: Denbighshire
- Hours: Ad Hoc, Short Term and Long Term
- Monday to Friday 8.40 am pm

The role:
What you'll be doing as a Primary School Teaching Assistant
- Supporting learners who require extra assistance under the supervision of the Class Teacher
- Assisting learners at the start of the school day and when leaving at the end of the day
- Assisting staff members in preparing the classroom for a lesson
- Working with learners in small groups and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs where needed
- Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons
- Assist learners at break time with their lunch
- Engage learners with both classroom and outofclassroom activities
- Work in accordance with the school's behaviour management policies
- At least 3 months experience of working with children in schools, nurseries or childcare settings experience working with learners with ALN would be beneficial
- Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) we can help you with this
- References covering the last two years (no gaps)
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
- The right to work in the UK
