    SEN Teaching Assistant - Dover

    Full-time - Salary: £83.33-£90 per day - Immediate start

    Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Dover. This full-time role is available for an immediate start and will involve a temporary contract until the end of the academic year, with the potential for extension. Training and continuous professional development opportunities will be provided as well.

    The school, located in Dover, is a single form entry primary school that has been rated GOOD by Ofsted across all areas. It is known for its nurturing environment and high level of support provided to students.     The Role

    • You will be responsible for working as both a mainstream class Teaching Assistant and focusing on students with special educational needs. This will involve supporting multiple children in Key Stages 1 and 2 who are currently undergoing SEN assessments.
    • Providing personalized support in Mathematics and Phonics on a one-on-one basis.
    • Monitoring student progress and collaborating with Teachers, Parents/Carers, and external agencies when necessary to discuss development strategies.
    • Engaging in continuous professional development activities as required for the role, with accreditation provided.

    Requirements

    • Prior experience as a mainstream class Teaching Assistant would be advantageous.
    • While beneficial, possessing a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is not mandatory.
    • Experience with SEN students in an educational, pastoral, or personal capacity is highly valued.
    • Ability to obtain or possess an updated enhanced DBS check.
    • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
