    Join our team as a Financial Accountant, reporting to the Finance Manager – Engineering. In this role, you'll be involved in managing all accounting activities related to Engineering costs, ensuring accuracy and integrity in both profit and loss and balance sheet perspectives.
    Your responsibilities include facilitating month-end processes, delivering insightful analysis to enhance cost understanding, and actively collaborating with Operations Finance teams to drive cost-saving initiatives aligned with our strategic goals.
    You'll serve as a key business partner, liaising with both Operations Finance and broader business stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. Additionally, you'll interface with Group Financial Reporting to demonstrate comprehensive ownership and comprehension of the cost base.     We are seeking a qualified accountant with a knack for navigating large, dynamic entities with ease. Your forte lies in exceptional analytical skills, adept at unravelling intricate variances and understanding their underlying drivers.
    Effective communication and adeptness in challenging stakeholders of all levels are vital. You will have a proven track record in digesting and interpreting accounting complexities across balance sheets, cash flows, and P&L statements, translating them into actionable insights for operational support with meticulous attention to detail.
    As a self-starter, you exhibit high motivation to drive initiatives forward, consistently offering solutions for continuous improvement. Bridging the gap between finance and non-financial stakeholders will come naturally to you, all while embodying proactive teamwork. Proficiency in Excel, including basic macros, and experience with Planning Analytics are highly desired.     LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK
    This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend three days per week in the office.
