Your day to day


In this role you will set the vision for revenue and share growth in this segment, lead the ideation of strategies which will deliver the vision, and own the execution of those strategies.

You will be responsible for developing and growing a team of sellers focused on accounts, primarily agencies, in the global meetings, incentive, events, conferences and group segment.


  • Coach and develop team members; inspire and motivate sales success.
  • Model strategic account management behaviors that help clients, our hotels and our company succeed.
  • Lead sales team to drive and maximize revenue and market share growth from each account.
  • Lead and direct company resources across a team and portfolio of accounts that focus on higherrated, premium business, including major meeting/incentive/conference management companies and agencies.
  • Direct the planning and implementation of the managed account strategies and initiatives within team's account portfolio.
  • Responsible for goal setting and performance optimization of customer revenue, room night and market share targets for team.
  • Function as the chief customer advocate within the assigned market segment(s) or geographies, ensuring the voice of B2B customers is present and considered as new company and/or sales strategies are developed and adopted. Be the escalation point for and take the lead on resolving issues of conflict or concern as these arise

What we need from you
Significant progressive work-related experience in the service industry. Extensive sales experience is required, as well as client management experience among large, complex corporate accounts. Prior experience of leading teams, direct or indirect, is highly preferred.

  • Experience in coaching, leading, and developing people, and the ability to motivate and inspire sales teams to achieve success metrics; can effectively manage performance across a geographically dispersed team.
  • Possess knowledge and expertise, both deep and broad of our brands, along with competitive brands.
  • Experience in working in global markets, deep understanding of managing across diverse, multicultural teams and customer organizations.
  • Work effectively at board level in client companies, possess strong relationship management skills, and welldeveloped probing, listening, negotiating, and persuading abilities.
  • Knowledge of hotel sales & marketing, business planning, along with strong sales ability, sales management, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of macroeconomic and industry trends, competitive landscape and other factors which influence account strategies, positions, and initiatives.
