    Description

    Your Profile:

    • Manage sales activities, plan and assign tasks
    • Develop and improve team performance through coaching and feedback
    • Train colleagues to ensure they achieve the hotel's revenue targets
    • Recommend or initiate HR-related actions when needed
    • Promote a great working environment
    • Interact with external contacts: guests, suppliers, and other contacts as required
    • Build and maintain good working relationships with key customers and external contacts to increase revenue

    Finance:

    • Achieve all sales goals and maximize profitability
    • Participate in department budget creation and financial planning
    • Create and implement sales plans that result in a measurable increase in occupancy, average rates, volume, food and beverage, and banquet revenue
    • Prepare monthly reports and revenue forecasts
    • Review monthly reports and sales forecasts
    • Develop and carry out special events and sales promotions, participate in fairs and major market events locally and nationally

    Guest Experience:

    • Provide guests with information
    • Plan conferences and/or business group activities at the hotel
    • Pass on all relevant information and special requirements for incoming VIPs, large groups, and other important guests to the relevant departments
    • Conduct marketing activities to promote the hotel's services, offers, and amenities to guests
    • Take on Duty Manager responsibilities in the absence of the General Manager

    Responsible Action:

    • Collaborate closely with key business leaders, officials, and representatives of local community groups in the city
    • Efficient communication and marketing
    • Collaborate with advertising agencies, consulting firms, and providers
    • Enhance the visibility and reputation of your hotel and brand locally
    • Identify improvements in the marketing activities and overall sales performance of the hotel
    • Handle ad-hoc tasks - unexpected moments where we need to work together to tackle a task

    Your Profile:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing or a related field
    • Four or more years of experience in sales and marketing in the hospitality industry with direct supervision of a sales team
    • Excellent language skills in German and English, other languages are a plus
    • Leadership experience, negotiation skills, and organizational flair
    • Good appearance, friendly and engaging
    • Thorough knowledge of local business and industry trends required
    • Valid work permit in Switzerland or the eligibility for one
