Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Head of Commercial Estate role for our client in London Borough of Waltham Forest

The successful post holder will be able to demonstrate and champion a commercial culture and delivery of customer focused asset management services, ensuring the delivery of high quality, cost effective and compliant property service that deliver positiveoutcomes


DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Lead and manage the Commercial Estates team in the asset management of The Council's Commercial Portfolio, including responsibility for all asset management casework, lettings and disposals
  • To be responsible for delivering relevant aspects of the Council's Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) and ensure the Commercial Estate is used to deliver on Corporate objectives
  • Lead and manage a team of property professionals
  • To be the Council's lead professional Valuation and property management representative
  • To be the budget holder for the Councils rental income and Commercial Estate team operating budget
  • To keep up to date with and disseminate local and national developments
  • To establish and develop a structure for consulting with key stakeholders including members and service leads
  • To deputise for the Director of Commercial Estate & Investment on matters related to Asset Management

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Substantial experience of leading and managing asset management teams
  • Substantial experience of asset management of commercial investment portfolios, valuation practice and methodology
  • Substantial experience of relationship management
  • Experience of developing and implementing workplace strategies
  • Experience of developing forecasting and reporting on budgets
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • An excellent understanding of good practice in valuation and asset management
  • Ability to manage, interpret and present large amounts of performance and other data
  • Experience in financial management
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • RICS or other relevant degree/ part qualification

WORKING HOURS AND RATE:

Mon - Fri, 09:00am pm


Rate:
£332.26 p/day
