THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Regulatory delivery team in the role as a Network Strategy Manager.

The role will help review, challenge and report on our delivery of the Capex elements of our GD2 business plan which is underpinned by ourgas transporter licence.

The role will be crucial to the effective and efficient delivery of our plans and will help the business understand how we are progressing in achieving our objectives.

It is anticipated that the role will also support the productionof the next business plan (GD3).


Key responsibilities will include;

  • Reporting to Senior Network Strategy Manager
  • Work within the Network Strategy Team to monitor and track regulatory delivery of GD2 outputs and uncertainty mechanisms
  • Monitor delivery of GD2 Capex 'Safe and Reliable' workloads across all applicable asset categories (PRS, Offtakes, Governors, LTS pipelines, Reinforcement, E&I, Connections, Diversions)
  • Engage with Asset managers and Major Project teams to track PCD's and NARMs projects against delivery.
  • Coordinate with asset managers to diarise and record significant milestones of these CAPEX projects
  • Programme organisation of bespoke PCD projects providing the link between Asset, Policy, Operations and Planning managers along with Capture teams. (Kings Ferry Bridge, IP services, T1 stubs)
  • Support the tracking and development of areas of expenditures associated with uncertainty mechanisms and reopeners
  • Prepare and provide reporting of the above workloads for the Investment committee and GD2 closeout meetings
  • Create and maintain reporting documents and recording methods for the above workloads
  • Liaising with asset managers, delivery partners and regulation / Finance to establish costs for the above workloads
  • Support Condition Review group to aid decision making of additional workloads that are bespoke in nature
  • Support any adhoc workload across the Network Strategy team
  • Supporting the business to develop a GD3 Business plan
  • Manage adhoc projects with third party consultants when required.

In addition, these skills that would be beneficial to this role:

  • Experience of data analysis and manipulation techniques
  • Knowledge of the Capex programme and compliance workloads.
  • An understanding of the TSG stage gate process
  • Understanding of the regulatory framework that SGN operates
  • A working knowledge of CBA principles
  • Project Management skills
