Team Profile:


The Transaction and Processing Risk (TPR) Group is a new function responsible for providing business-wide leadership and proactively developing and implementing a holistic framework to control, monitor and enhance post trade processes to ensure they operatewithin risk appetite.


Job Purpose:


Key Responsibilities:


  • Drive a culture of ownership and set the "tone from the top" for complying with Regulation W, any applicable and related policies and encouraging a culture of continuous process improvement.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining an effective Markets governance framework for ensuring compliance with Regulation W, including assurance and control monitoring of the design effectiveness and consistent execution of Regulation W controls across allMarkets business lines
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional areas (all lines of business, Regulation W Governance Office, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Control Execution Teams) to identify and implement enhancements to the Regulation W governance and compliance framework
  • Review and maintain list of Citi affiliate legal entities across Exchange and CCPs for Markets
  • Help develop a control execution team to provide monitoring of controls in scope for Regulation W, risk, and regulatory reporting
  • Provide oversight of various components of relevant initiatives for Markets related to Regulation W
  • Lead efforts to ensure commitments made to regulators are met and act as the first point of contact on Regulation W matters across all Markets business lines.
  • Participate in Regulation W enterprise governance forums ensuring connectivity across all Markets business lines
  • Support product development teams and Compliance to assess new and enhanced products and services related to Regulation W
  • Utilise Citi's risk management tools for the measurement, monitoring and management of exposure including acting within Risk Appetite
  • Analyse the control environment, vet new systems, processes, policies, and procedures associated with Regulation W and drive Markets to be best in class.
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, but appropriate industry experience & exceptional delivery track record is as important.
  • Extensive years of relevant industry experience
  • Proven track record of delivery of regulatory change within Markets by leading or participating in significant, multiasset class and multijurisdictional initiatives in Markets, such as Dodd Frank. EMIR, MiFID II/R or UMR.
  • Good understanding of US regulatory framework for Markets is beneficial, especially Regulation W.
  • Experience within a Regulation W Compliance, Legal or other controlrelated function in a financial services firm, regulatory organisation, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof would also be considered, however experience of Markets is essential.
  • Excellent analytical capability and ability to manage large data sets to arrive at sound conclusions.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint skills is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate clearly and concisely to a senior audience and operating effectively at al levels of the organisation.
