    We're looking for a Senior Drainage Engineer to join our Design & Business Services team based in Speke, Liverpool. Speke, Liverpool - we offer flexible working.

    Contract:
    Permanent - 37 1⁄2 hours per week.

    As Senior Drainage Engineer, you'll be supporting the Civil and Structural Engineering Team.

    Producing and checking drainage design calculations, flood risk assessment reports, drawings, design models, design strategy reports and specifications


    • Coordinating drainage and civil engineering design information within the civil and structural engineering team and with other technical design disciplines such as Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Building Services Engineering
    • Setting appropriate sustainable drainage strategies for projects and obtaining appropriate consents for drainage proposals via the Local Authority Planning Approval process, including making pre-development enquiries and consultations with statutory authorities and Lead Local Flood Authorities
    • Occasionally visiting development sites and building sites, to conduct surveys and inspections and visiting other designers' and clients' offices to represent the civil engineering team at meetings
    Have experience of designing drainage systems to CIRIA C753 SuDS Manual guidance


    • Can provide examples of making applications for sewer adoptions
    • Have experience of preparing and interpreting Level 1 and 2 flood risk assessment and site drainage strategy reports
    • Can demonstrate experience of consulting with local sewer operators and Lead Local Flood Authorities
    • You hold professional qualifications such as BSc, MSc, BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or Environmental Sciences, and CEng, Member, or Associate Member of Institution of Civil Engineers or Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management or similar.
