Digital Operations Executive, Group Marketing,

Reporting to the Digital Governance and Operations Manager

6 months fixed term contract


This is a junior level role working in the Group Marketing team and reporting to the Digital Governance and Operations Manager.

You'll be working alongside Hiscox marketing teams across our global footprint (UK, US and European markets), managing web development teams across Hiscox digital platforms.

This role is key to a continuous CX improvement of Hiscox websites.


Ensuing digital platform stability and integrity, and embedding best practice in daily operational management is a priority for this role.

This is a new role in the team offered on a 6 month fixed contract. There may be the opportunity for contract extension post 6 months.


Role responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the agile Drupal development sprints and coordinate tasks for Hiscox corporate and regional websites
  • Own and resolve incidents and defects across the digital experience, influencing the team to prioritising fixes in the development backlog
  • Ensure scheduled tickets and work can be delivered within agreed time and budget
  • Support release activity by inputting operational, performance, monitoring requirements and attending prerelease meetings including weekly standups and project development sessions.
  • Collaborate across the business including marketing leaders, technology service providers and web development teams. You will drive our business priorities to achieve agreed KPI's and business objectives.
  • Work closely with business owners to support web content updates when needed
  • Work closely with the SEO and Paid Acquisition teams to support site improvement changes when required
  • Oversee the operation of our marketing technology stack, including managing access rights and working with vendors
  • Supporting the Digital Governance and Operations Manager, you will input and drive engagement across the Hiscox Privacy, Information Security, and Procurement teams to ensure the digital platforms are secured, compliant, and work within the governance frameworks
Job Requirements

  • 1st or a 2:1 Degree holder with major in Computing, Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Business or equivalent is an advantage
  • At least 1 year experience working with web operations' technologies including Atlassian JIRA and Confluence, Content Management System (e.g. Drupal), HTML, Javascript, and CSS.
  • Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm to explore the digital eCommerce world and latest digital trends
