- Understand customer requirements and specifications.
- Identify potential suppliers and obtain best pricing, lead time and MOQ.
- Work cross functionally to evaluate potential suppliers
- Recommend preferred suppliers taking account of the overall purchasing strategy.
- Manage any new supplier set ups.
- Act on and resolve problems and delays, communicating and escalating issues that may impact the project timeline.
- Ensure MRP system parameters are properly updated.
- Provide cover and assistance to the wider Procurement team as required
- Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers
- Attend Supplier Review meetings.
- Organised, systematic and computer literate.
- Ability to work independently and cross functionally.
- Attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Experience of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (desirable)
