Draughtsperson

Opportunity created due to growth within a sheet metal environment.
Design position that supports the development of sheet metal products.
Chance to develop estimating skills the design capabilities are more important at this stage.

We are seeking an experienced Draughtsperson or CAD Technician to support the development of Sheet Metal Fabrications. This person will then support with estimating activities to help cost projects. Training can be provided in this area as it forms a smaller part of the role. Excellent business with a strong reputation for retaining staff and offering stability. The position has been created due to securing ongoing projects across a range of sectors.

Salary:
£28,000 to £32,000 as a guide.

This Draughtsperson job will suit:

Experience / Understanding of sheet metal manufacturing.
CAD Design experience using RADAN for tasks such as nesting.
Capable of reading engineering drawings.
Estimating experience is a bonus, but this can be taught if needed.
Comfortable using basic IT systems, such as Excel, for data inputting.

Working with RADAN CAD package for design modelling.
Using Excel to support with estimating duties.
Communicating with customers to discuss requirements and establish estimates.
