AHK has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Line Manager to join our main laboratory facility in Liverpool (UK).

You will join a talented and experienced team of precious metal Managers, taking responsibility for a small team of technicians in the delivery,management and supervision of assay services within the precious metal department.

If you are an accomplished in-organic analytical chemist with knowledge and experience focused in the analysis of precious metal and platinum group metal elements across a wide range of commodities, and you are looking for career development in a structuredenvironment then AHK would like to hear from you

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • High level of expertise in the analysis of precious metals across a wide and varying range of metalliferous commodities.
  • Understanding and knowledge of precious metals analysis and having the ability to pass this down via training this knowledge.
  • Able to process large data sets to reach conclusions.
  • Effective people management skills.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Able to critically review technical information and spot root causes and suggest solutions.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Able to focus on meeting given deadlines.
  • Able to work independently and take the initiative.
  • Able to communicate effectively in a range of different formats and at all levels in the organisation.
  • Substantial experience in a commercial analytical laboratory environment.
  • A proven track record in people management.

Required Qualifications

  • Higher National Education level knowledge or equivalent vocational experience.
  • Further scientific qualifications of interest.
