Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the shop, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Oversee food production and preparation, ensuring high quality and consistency.
  • Train and develop staff in culinary techniques, hospitality, customer service & Upselling
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain proper stock levels.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for business growth.
  • Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and address any performance issues.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a positive work environment.

- ensure all EHO compliance is completed and high standards of hygiene in all areas of the coffee shop

  • Ensuring all opening and closing checks are completed and filed.
  • Manage social boardroom at its entirety as a when required

Requirements:


  • Proven experience in a supervisory role in the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Proficient in cooking techniques, bartending, food production, and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

The coffee shop will close on Bank Holidays, August & 3 weeks for Christmas.


Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract


Salary:
£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Weekend availability

Experience:


  • Hospitality: 2 years (required)
  • Barista: 2 years (required)
  • Catering supervisor: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Level 3 Food Safety (required)
