    JOB TITLE: Airport PCV drivers

    LOCATION: Gatwick Airport

    SHIFT PATTERN: 4 on 4 off Earlies, lates, nights

    Full time 42 hours per week / Part time available

    Overtime rate – Monday – Sunday

    SALARY: Full time - £32,760 per annum

    OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION

    Working Hours & Shift Pattern: Working either full time or part time on a rotating shift basis that adapts to the business needs. Shifts cover a 24/7, 365 days a year operation, including weekends, holidays, and bank holidays as necessary.

    Main Responsibilities:

    Responsible for safe and efficient transportation of airport passengers, ground staff, crew members, and other client groups between designated points in buses, minibuses, or cars. Additional driving tasks may include operating Bowsers, high lifts, and deicing vehicles with full training provided. The role involves mainly airside operations, with potential additional duties like cabin cleaning. Consistent daily routine with occasional variations.

    ABM Aviation bussing services are crucial to customer satisfaction. Drivers are expected to maintain a professional, polite, and smart appearance as they cater to a diverse passenger mix of business travelers, holidaymakers, and airline crews. Ensuring a positive passenger experience on every trip is essential.

    Embracing technology, we are implementing automation to enhance performance tracking, reporting, and information dissemination. Drivers will need to use an automated job allocation and recording system with full training provided.

    Person Specification: Essential

    · Valid PCV licence (D, D1) with a maximum of three points, along with consistent reporting.

    · Proficient in both written and spoken English.

    · Ability to obtain and maintain an Airside Pass and airside driving Driving Permit, including necessary competency checks. This involves a comprehensive 5-year work history, UK work rights, and a DBS check.

    · Strong people and communication skills for effective interaction.

    · Positive 'can do' attitude.

    · Willingness to work in different locations at short notice.

    · Flexibility for cross-departmental work, such as cabin cleaning.

    · Availability for additional shifts and duty cover as needed, ideally within a local catchment area.

    · Leading by Example | Consistently perform duties to the best of abilities, following guidance from Lead Drivers, Duty Supervisor & Management levels to ensure successful outcomes, especially in business contingency situations.

    · Safety First | Prioritize safety for yourself and passengers, familiarizing with protocols and environment to monitor and address any unsafe practices promptly.
