Working hours: 9am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 9am-3pm Friday

Job Overview:


As an Assistant Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting my clients estimating team with various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the estimating process.

While the primary focus will be on office administration, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to the estimating process and develop valuable skills in estimation.


Key Responsibilities:

Office Administration:

  • Maintain organized filing systems for project documents and estimates.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate meetings as needed.
  • Assist with general office tasks to ensure a wellfunctioning work environment.

Data Entry and Documentation:

  • Input and update project information in estimating software and databases.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of project details, specifications, and other relevant data.

Communication:

  • Collaborate with the estimating team to gather necessary information for bid preparation.
  • Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotes and other projectrelated details.

Research:

  • Conduct market research to gather information on materials, costs, and industry trends.
  • Assist in gathering data for feasibility studies and cost analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
