We are proud to be the steward of Canadian CANDU nuclear technology.Shoreline Power Group is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program which replaces the main components of 6 reactors at the Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station.
The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders as well as construction management and trade labor.
This project is part of Bruce Power's Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power's CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064.
The Mechanical Quality Inspector is responsible for the performance of all quality functions and duties as related to the FCFR construction activities performed under the JV QA Program.
The position reports to the Project Quality Assurance Supervisor.Perform quality inspection in accordance with the related codes and customer specifications.
Visual welding inspection.
Hardness testing.
Perform internal weld monitoring as required.
Participate in the development and maintenance of a cost of quality tracking system.

Graduate secondary school education in welding technology, QA/QC or a related discipline at the University or College level.
W178 Level 1 or 2 Visual Weld inspection. (Computer literate in MS Office.
ASME Code, B&PV plus Nuclear/ ISO 9001 and CWB experience.
Previous experience in receiving inspections and controls within a Nuclear Qualified Warehouse and Clean Room would be considered an asset.
Various work locations in both field and office.Travel as necessary.
Due to the nature of work conducted by Shoreline, mandated nuclear export controls requirements must be met for employment.
