The WP&O Officer will plan and deliver exciting activities and projects for young people from targeted Primary and Secondary Schools, helping fulfill the aims of our Access & Participation Plan.

Working within a dedicated team of Outreach practitioners, you will provide both an in-school and on-campus service to support key groups who are underrepresented in Higher Education.

The Widening Participation team are seeking a colleague who is passionate about widening access to higher education.

The WP&O Officer will plan and deliver exciting activities and projects for young people from targeted Primary and Secondary Schools, helping to fulfill the aims of our Access & Participation Plan.

Working within a dedicated team of Outreach practitioners, you will provide both in-school and on-campus support for key groups who are underrepresented in Higher Education (such as low-income families, or Young Carers).

The Officer will build strong relationships with WP Student Ambassadors who co-deliver Outreach activities, and with colleagues in the Schools & Colleges team within the Student Recruitment department.

They will also maintain relationships with Outreach target schools, by coordinating programmes of sustained engagement (e.g. a 3-part Year 8 programme, or summer schools).

The post-holder will work proactively within the team's model of robust monitoring, evaluation and tracking in order to further the impact of our work.
