Civils Gangs
Ferns Group are looking for Civils experienced Utilities Gangs to work in and around the Dorset area for our long-term Openreach contract

What you'll be doing;

  • Excavating in the highways in accordance with NRSWA Code of Practice 1991 and HSG4
  • Installing new ducts and chambers (Track & box) (DL1)
  • Clearing blockages (DB1)
  • Rod, Rope and Testing (K8)
  • Box Building (BB1M & BB1B)
  • Speaking with internal and external customers
  • Maintaining a positive, professional image of the company.

What you'll need:

  • A full UK driving licence, held for at least 12 months
  • Valid NRSWA Streetworks Operative units
  • Competent in the use of mechanical Civils equipment
  • Openreach Smart awards required; SA001/SA002/SA006 etc.
  • Risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety
