Main Purpose of the Role
We're looking for an outgoing and ambitious individual to support our Marketing and Communications activity and help our work to empower the young people on our programmes what we do and our fundraising activities across the UK.
You'll be part of an existing team and play an active role in the development and activation of strategies and campaigns while also having the knowledge and skills to identify, plan and create impactful communications that demonstrate our work.
Responsibilities
- Help source, write, and distribute news stories and other articles for use across our communications channels to inform our internal and external audiences about the charity and its impact across the UK
- Work with the existing team to write and pitch press releases/feature ideas to regional media across print, broadcast and online to ensure coverage the charity and its activity
- Help develop links with key regional media/partners (counties and county boards) to support our work to maximize awareness
- Assisting our lead designer with promotional programme activity and event collateral
- Assisting with the daytoday Lord's Taverners social media strategy across all channels. This includes ensuring all partner agreements are activated throughout our digital channels as well as providing content and messages for ambassadors/influencers
- Support internal teams to ensure that marketing materials and content reflects the Lord's Taverners brand and key messaging
- Manage our content library of images and videos across all programme and event activity
- Maintain the Lord's Taverners media contacts database and collate media cuttings for internal and external use while also monitoring digital media statistics/performance
- Work with the existing Marketing and Communications team to maximize awareness and coverage of all national events and PR launches
