18 Month Fixed Term Contract / Secondment Opportunity
Hackney Council is looking for someone to help us get empty properties back in use.

As Voids Coordinator you will have an important part to play in helping us provide homes for people who need them.


Day to day you will make sure we turn around empty properties quickly to make them available for people who need them.

Once the properties are refurbished to our agreed standards you will need to let them as soon as possible to help maximise our income.

Your work will involve coordinating the voids process with other teams across the Council.


Your responsibilities will involve signing up new tenants - taking them to view properties and making sure they understand their rental agreements.

You will need to do some administration like processing shortlists, sending out letters, telephoning applicants and entering viewing results onto our IT system.

You should have good communication skills - be able to draft correspondence and engage our diverse communities.

You will need to be able to use a variety of IT systems, be organised and methodical in your work.

We need someone able to take initiative, who is driven and motivated.
