    Job Title: Corporate Governance Administrator at Hywel Dda University Health Board

    We are searching for a detail-oriented individual with excellent organization skills to support the Corporate Governance Team. The selected candidate must be a seasoned administrator with experience in serving Board level committees, capable of working independently within a professional team atmosphere. Your main task will be to provide administrative support as Committee Secretariat to the Board's Committees, ensuring seamless operations in alignment with the Corporate Governance Framework. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Governance, you will collaborate closely with Executive Director Leads and Independent Member Chairs to offer administrative support for various Committee activities, including developing work programs and producing formal reports.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Prepare, compile, and distribute committee papers
    • Take and transcribe formal minutes

    Confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy are crucial in this role. The ideal candidate should have a solid grasp of corporate governance and committee services, proficient keyboard and computer skills, as well as strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

    Person Specification:

    Qualifications and Knowledge:

    Essential:

    • Degree level education or equivalent experience
    • Comprehensive knowledge of corporate governance and information governance procedures
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word & Excel

    Desirable:

    • Shorthand qualification/ability
    • Secretarial Qualification
    • ECDL

    Language Skills:

    Desirable:

    • Welsh speaker - Level 1
    • Experience:

      Essential:

      • Agenda and report preparation experience
      • Minute taking and committee support background
      • Report writing proficiency
      • Extensive knowledge of administrative and governance procedures in the public sector
      • Systems development and maintenance experience
      • Interaction with various organizational levels and external stakeholders

      Desirable:

      • Senior-level administrative experience within the NHS
      • Circumstances:

        • Timely site-to-site travel capability
        • Flexible service-oriented approach
