Our Construction Department is expanding and we are excited to announce that we are looking for an additional team member to join the department as a Lecturer in Multi-Skills.

The Role


To deliver effective teaching, learning and assessment to learners in both workshop and theory sessions in Construction from entry level up to level 3 for both full time learners.

The purpose of this role is to be involved in the development of this area and programmes. The role will involve delivery of quality education, training and support to a range of students 16+


We deliver across multiple areas within the construction sector, using a range of awarding organisations and we are looking to expand our curriculum offer to meet industry needs both locally and nationally.


Teaching experience/possession of a teaching qualification and assessor award would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided to the correct applicant.

It is our vision for this new member of the team to enhance our current delivery and contribute towards developing a curriculum that meets the needs of our local employers


Main Duties for this role include

  • Plan teaching, learning and assessment for college programmes using the appropriate College format to ensure effective learning.
  • Deliver teaching and learning to at least a consistently good or outstanding standard to achieve high success rates.
  • Assess accurately learners work both formatively and summatively against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure learners achieve their qualifications.
  • Comply with all College quality assurance procedures as prescribed by the Deputy Principal to ensure the achievement of all internal and external audits.
  • Use all appropriate resources effectively to ensure that the learners' experience results in positive learning outcomes and high professional standards.
