Inventory Planning Administrator

Corby, Northants (Hybrid working)


Working in our lively, friendly Inventory Planning team in Corby, you'll be the Inventory Planning Administrator for a specific Category to support Inventory Planners on day to day admin and data accuracy.


What you will be doing:

Working in conjunction with the Inventory Planner's to improve data accuracy on the following:

  • Providing administrative support to the Inventory Planning Team to ensure the JDA planning tool has accurate information to plan against
  • Manage Purchase Order Book to ensure it meets Demand Forecast including expediting and rescheduling
  • Updating SAP with correct information

As you become more involved
Work in conjunction with Senior Inventory Planner and Inventory Controller on continuously improving the KPI's for the defined cell:

  • Manage Supply Plan in line with Category and Cell inventory strategies
  • Support Inventory Control in mitigating Excess inventory whilst keeping within Category and Cell Stocking Policies
  • Manage exceptions to Supply Plan including but not limited to zero/low stock and customer order shortages
  • Resolve queries regarding product deliveries, working closely with Operations
  • Support Buying teams in improving or maintaining vendor performance and identifying cost reductions
  • Work closely with Demand Planning to ensure Supply Plan meets customer requirements
  • Optimise Return on Investment (ROI) through crossfunctional improvement initiatives, implementation of established industry best practices and employing a Total Cost of Ownership approach
  • Be key interface for relevant vendor Supply Plan enquiries for both external (vendors) and internal stakeholders such as IC, Demand Planning, Product, and Operations
  • Proactively seek to continuously improve processes
