My client, who is a market leading designer, and manufacturer of specialist optical components, lenses and systems, now seeks a Senior Optical Engineer to join their team.

Based at my client's development and manufacturing facility in Hertfordshire, you will be involved with design work in both optics and mechanics, as well as supporting and overseeing my client's assembly and testing activities.

By using your knowledge of optical production techniques, you will also provide technical support in Production / Production planning / QA.

In addition to this you will also undertake an element of mechanical design (Solidworks)

The role will also include occasional travel to customers to undertake technical discussions and to discuss projects etc.
