An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Crewe Manufacturing Facility for a full time (38 hours per week) CNC Machinist (Lathe) to join our team.

The role involves setting, loading and operating a 3 Axis Lathe with a live tooling function.

Responsibilities and Duties

To work within standard operating procedures.
To set and operate CNC Machines or Lathes to produce components to company procedures using work instruction cards.
Understand and be confident to edit programs and subprograms.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and work to fine tolerances.
Ensure all relevant quality checks are carried out and recorded.
Ensure that all job cards have the relevant materials issued to them.
To continually identify improvement opportunities within your area and bring these to the attention of your Team Leader.
To ensure your working area is in a clean and tidy condition following the principles of 5S.
To assist in the fettling of machined parts when required.
Ensure that the quality of work produced meets customer drawings and specifications.
Identify and utilise correct tooling equipment required for specific work.
Perform routine maintenance checks and completing checksheet records.
Ensure all documentation is accurately completed in a timely fashion.
Ensure all Health & Safety process are adhered to at all times.

Essential and Desirable Skills:

Previous Experience working with multi axis CNC machines _(Essential)_
Experience working in a similar role, in a manufacturing or engineering environment _(Essential)_
Ability to follow plans with minimum supervision _(Essential)_
Must be efficient and have excellent attention to detail _(Essential)_
Previous experience working with raw castings _(Desirable)_
