Description

Our client, an SME manufacturing business based in Hastings, are looking to hire an interim finance professional to work on several projects to modernize their manufacturing accounting.

The role will be for 3-6 months and is largely office based in Hastings.

We are looking for an Accountant with extensive manufacturing experience including cost accounting, stock, and BOMs who can assess the current processes and systems and then work withthe MD to implement the required change.

Key requirements:

Experience of various manufacturing costing approaches / project costing etc.
Ability to prepare a process map of endtoend material purchases for the company, and then use this to redesign the materials management process including scheduling and associated reporting to give visibility of status and issues.
Ability to use / develop SAGE BOMs and POs, as well as ability to work with operations on maximising use of existing SAGE MRP system to provide on time visibility of real gross material requirements.
Provide input on redesign and upgrade of product costing and procurement system and processes.
Provide cover for the Financial Controller when required.

This role will pay circa £ per day (IR35 status it to be determined), and we are looking for someone who can start work at short notice.

To be considered you must be comfortable working at least 4 days in the clients Hasting offices.
