RCE Ltd was formed in 2012 and has experienced significant growth to become a multi- disciplined contractor specialising in civil engineering, reinstatement and utilities.
RCE Ltd are looking to recruit a pro-active, enthusiastic and experienced Commercial Administrator with Civil Engineering and Utilities experience.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for providing key administrative project support.
You will have the ability to prioritise a demanding workload, maintain a meticulous eye for detail and have the ability to maintain clear commercial project records from inception through to project completion and invoicing.
You will be an integral part of the operations team supporting the successful delivery of multiple schemes varying in scale, scope and contract type.
The role will involve a lot of reactive buying in the interim until the Nationwide database is updated.
Role/ Responsibilities
- Liaise with clients AFP approvers and build relationships.
- Follow up/Chase outstanding AFPs once submitted for PO release.
- Provide information to the commercial department on rejected/disputed AFPs.
- Process Purchase orders against AFPs so an invoice can be raised.
- Identify/resolve issues with purchase orders and aged AFPs.
- Generate weekly reports detailing status of outstanding AFPs.
- General assistance to the Commercial Team.
- Internal filing and management of all project documentation.
- Internal project planning and contract record keeping.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience within a Similar role
- Minimum of 2 years' experience within the Civil Engineering/Utilities Industry
- Daily procurement experience within a construction related environment.
- Experience of projects with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Proven track record managing supplier relationships, negotiation, process compliance and supplier integration into project teams.
- An ability to adopt a pragmatic, yet disciplined approach to process compliance.
- Ability to work under pressure in a daily changing environment.
- Strong Commercial awareness and numerically confident
- Able to build effective working relationships with suppliers.
- Working hours Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
