Description
About the RoleWe're looking for an experienced Head of Enterprise Risk to continue to drive the development, implementation and maintenance of our 2nd line of defence.
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the Head of Enterprise Risk will take on oversight responsibility for prudential risks including credit, interest rate, liquidity risk, operational risk, IT Risk (including Information Security) and Operational resilience within the Society.
You'll be the go to person for supporting the existing 2nd line teams, as well as supporting our wider business with guidance and advice on risk assessment, controls and ensuring we adhere to our framework, policies and governance.
Additionally, you will have day to day management responsibility for the key parts of our 2nd line function.As the deputy to the Chief Risk Officer, you will be required to deputise as required in external and internal governance meetings.
About YouWe're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic leader with the ability to adjust and challenge within a regulated environment.
As an effective problem solver and an expert communicator, you will have the ability to guide, persuade and influence at all levels across the business.
You'll have excellent ability to interpret complex analytical information, alongside a strong attention to detail.Detailed experience and knowledge of the Financial Services sector is essential, in addition to the ability to present information in a structured and balanced way, appropriate to the needs of the reader.
The Head of Enterprise Risk will be required to support business areas and provide challenge and guidance on an on-going basis, you'll have experience of developing function strategies and the ability to input into the strategic planning process.
This is a senior appointment, and one that the role holder will be expected to model and mentor the capabilities, competencies and behaviours that demonstrates their further potential to progress their career with the SocietyAbout Us
