Description

Support Worker to work with a lady in her seventies that needs assistance to maintain her independent living arrangements in her own home.


Multiple visits per day would be required to complete the following tasks:7.30am - 9.30am - Assist to get out of bed, use commode, wash and dress.

Prepare breakfast.

It will be necessary to help her to consume her food as she has limited mobility in her right arm.

12pm - 2pm - Assist with using commode & personal hygiene when necessary. Prepare a light Lunch and assist to consume food.

5.30pm - 8.30pm - Assist with using commode & personal hygiene when necessary. Prepare a substantial evening meal and support to consume food. Assist her to prepare for and to go to bed for the night.


Additional Duties:


  • Provide companionship which may sometimes include short outings and stimulate conversation.
  • Oversee the lady taking her own appropriate medication
  • Ensure the lady has access to sufficient water, juice or other drinks and some snacks before leaving each shift
  • Weekly Food Shopping
  • Encourage the lady to remain mobile within her limits by for example taking short walks within her own home or doing minor exercises
  • Ensure the environment in the home is kept to a decent standard.
  • Be flexible to cover sickness and holiday absence for other staff involved
  • Liaise with next of kin on a regular basis
The rate of pay is £10.42 per hour.

Part-time hours: 16.5 per week

From £11.00 per hour
