The Role:

In this role, day to day you can expect to:

  • To assist the HR Manager in providing a comprehensive HR administration service.
  • To be the primary contact and systems administrator for queries on our YouManage HR system.
  • To provide an effective Human Resources administration service relating to the employment lifecycle.
  • Ensuring the HR Database accurately reflects current staff conditions and details. This includes inputting starters and leavers, contractual amendments, change of details, annual leave and recording of sickness and other leave.
  • Supporting and coordinating the onboarding process for new starters
  • Dealing with daytoday HR queries and advising in line with the current policies and procedures
  • Support in the accurate processing of payroll and benefits
  • Respond to reference requests for current or former members of staff.
  • Ensure electronic and paperbased personnel files are maintained and filing/archiving is completed in a timely manner
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned
  • Scheduling of periodic staff reviews across all departments, including probationary period reviews.
  • Administrator and ensure compliance of statutory training requirements
  • Carry out other related tasks as required.

Your Skills & Qualifications:


Essential:

  • Proven experience as a HR administrator or HR assistant
  • An understanding of HR processes and systems
  • Understanding HR software systems
  • Computer literate with programmes such as word, excel, etc.
  • Organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • An ability to deal with confidential information and maintain confidentiality
  • The ability to work independently and problem solve and to be able to work well under pressure to required deadlines.
  • Personal resilience and the capacity to work effectively and stay calm under pressure
  • Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with colleagues is essential.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

Desirable:

  • CIPD qualification or HR certification desirable or relevant HR experience
  • Experience of using YouManage
  • Good/current understanding of UK employment laws and HR policies
