Volante Group are very proud to have partnered with an award-winning Housing and Regeneration Community Association working with around 9,000 units.

Our client is looking to recruit a Head of FP&A.

Duties will include the following:

  • Responsible for the annual operating budget process with consideration of its part in the Group's financial business plan, internal control framework and corporate strategy. The post holder will deliver the annual budget for all directorates and its subsidiariesto the relevant Group and Subsidiary Board.
  • Ensure the management accounts and its subsidiaries adequately reflect the performance of the business and focus on the salient issues for financial management; as a key financial control, ensure the management accounts are routinely produced on time, torequired quality standards, and in compliance with the budget monitoring procedure.
  • Act as lead financial controller for new business activities including development, joint venture activity, commercial activities, and other new initiatives. The post holder is responsible for the policies and procedures necessary to ensure these activitiescan be accurately accounted for, monitored, and forecast.
  • Prepare quarterly reports to relevant Boards or Committees and monthly reports to the Corporate Management Team (CMT); ensure budget performance, capital monitoring and treasury report commentary includes focus on the key strategic objectives, delivery,and risk.
The client is looking for the following pre-requisites: ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified

  • Experience of producing and presenting financial information and reports, to finance and nonfinance staff
  • Experience of designing and ensuring compliance with financial procedures and controls
  • Experience of preparing, validating and reconciling accounting accruals and journals
  • Experience of managing and developing staff
  • Experience in cash flow forecasting
  • Experience of report writing to Boards
  • Understanding of investment appraisal techniques and understanding of factors affecting the performance of projects
