We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Construction Specialist to support the delivery of three projects in Argyll & Bute, South-West Scotland.

Crossaig Substation, Creagdubh Substation, and High Constellation Windfarm Connection are large projects with a total value of £110M on the RIIO T2 GIS Framework.

Our client is SSE who are a mature client in regards to BIM deliverables, and each project will be delivered in a JV agreement with Siemens Energy.


Your mission
As a Digital Construction Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and work closely with senior project management to ensure a value-added approach to digital is achieved
  • Capture best practices, workflows, and lessons learned and communicate these within the organization and to team members
  • Coordinate with different members for annual ISO19650 audits and provide training
  • Manage the project's digital production methods and procedures, and oversee the establishment of project workflows
  • Ensure the model coordination plan and process are in place, and authorize the information model for sharing
  • Oversee the information workflow in the project's CDE and review and approve BIM for sharing
  • Understand the hardware and software requirements on the project(s) and quickly resolve technical issues to avoid negative impacts on productivity and performance

Who are we looking for?

  • 35 years of experience in digital construction, including 3D model production
  • Higher education in Engineering / Construction, or related field
  • Excellent management and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work in a team environment, meet challenging deadlines, and use time productively
  • Selfstarter with a drive to pursue continued education on Digital Construction Technologies
  • Good knowledge of ISO 19650 series, Revit, and Common Data Environments (CDEs)
  • Willingness to travel to and work on remote sites
