We are currently recruiting for an Occupational Health Administrator to work for Derbyshire Police out of their headquarters in Ripley.
This is a temporary contract for 12 months working Monday to Friday.
You will need to have experience within a medical admin environment as well as the ability to be travel to Leicester for selected induction days.
PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION OF JOB ROLE
To provide a range of administrative duties and support to the overall Occupational Health and Wellbeing department.
SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide general administrative support to the Occupational Health and Wellbeing department including recording information on computer systems and medical records.
- Maintain absolute confidentiality and discretion whilst acting in accordance in line within a medical confidential environment.
- Accurately process and record information in accordance with published timetables.
- Adhere to appropriate regulations and policies and take corrective action where necessary.
- Liaise with outside agencies to arrange workshops, training and wellbeing initiatives.
- Deal with enquiries from internal and external customers (via the telephone and face to face) in a timely manner, personally resolving matters ensuring appropriate handover
- Arrange and attend meetings to take notes and minutes.
- To carry out any reasonable duties within the overall function commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of the post.
- Provide resilience through generic working to deliver robust support services in line with the Force and Team priorities.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential:
- Educated to Level 1 or above and/ or equivalent experience.
- Experience of working in a highly confidential environment.
- Proven ability and experience of communicating information effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel with the ability to compile and present data, maintain and update records.
- Experience of communicating with a wide range of people, including the general public, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience of working on own initiative and prioritising workload.
- Experience of working as part of a team to solve problems and make decisions.
Desirable:
- Experience of working within an HR environment.
