ROLE - Buyer

LOCATION - Hungerford

TERM - Permanent

SALARY- £25,000- £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
My client designs and manufactures products and systems within the Renewable Energy sector. They are looking for a Buyer to join their team in Hungerford on a permanent basis.

The Buyer will ideally have the following attributes:

Good experience in sourcing both mechanical and electro-mechanical components
Background working in an Assembly environment
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage inventory
Experience working as a Buyer in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

The Buyer role will involve:

Managing stock and inventory for a small engineering team
Taking responsibility for sourcing, purchasing and the delivery of materials and components
Ensuring quality, on time delivery and cost performance
Adding value to the business by driving the cost savings
Being responsible for supplier performance development and the procurement of materials against specifications
Managing key suppliers
Being involved in the selection of suppliers and then the ongoing approval and relationship management
