Carden IT brings together a diverse team of IT experts from various professional backgrounds.

From project managers to network engineers to system administrators, we take pride in being able to provide specialised help for all of your IT needs.

Your role in this apprenticeship will be to support the team, from our primary base in Woodingdean Business Park, Brighton with 1st/2nd line IT support and administration.


The Package

In this role you'll receive:
- £16,000 per annum

  • 20 days holiday, plus a day on your birthday
  • Working hours are 37.5 hours per week

What it's like working in this role

Throughout your apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to get stuck into various aspects the job to fully immerse yourself in what it means to be a Business Administrator Apprentice


Duties include:

  • Provide administration support for the sales process, including quoting, ordering, returns and customer enquiries.
  • Provide administrator support for contract procurement, signing and renewals.
  • Reconciliation of client support coverage, ensuring records and billing is accurate.
  • Monthly stock takes ensuring recording stock levels are accurate.
  • The procurement of telecoms services, such as telephone lines, broadband and VoIP.
  • Ensuring all products and services have been successfully delivered to the client.

Qualifications
Whilst previous experience is great, we at Tiro are always open to wildcards.

We're not just interested in experience and qualifications; we're looking for someone with the right attitude and aptitude to fit right in at Carden IT.


Skills and characteristics
You'll need to show you can be thorough, obsessive and have strong attention to detail and communication skills. You'll have a naturally enquiring mind. We're looking for someone who's fearless.

You'll be brave enough to be yourself, with enough self-confidenceto speak to customers and come up with quick solutions to fix the problem in hand.

To succeed in this apprenticeship, you'll need bags of enthusiasm, be a fantastic collaborator and be hungry to learn.

So how does the apprenticeship work?


At Tiro we're obsessed with changing lives through science and technology apprenticeships so we can't wait to have you on board.

Over 15 months, you'll devote a minimum of 6 hours of your working week on 'off the job' training.

This can include theory training (for example, virtual lessons & online learning), alongside practical training (for example shadowing, mentoring, & time spentwriting assignments.

Together this will count towards a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship.

You'll be trained by an expert tutor from Tiro as well as an experienced mentor at Carden IT who together, will make sure you develop the knowledge, skills, and work habits you'll need to succeed in your career.

Being an apprentice is hands-on, so you'll get the chance to learn things you might otherwise not have experienced in a university or college environment.

The best part? You'll be earning a salary while you gain your qualifications, meaning no huge student loans to pay back at the end of the programme
