Main tasks:


  • Ensure works are carried out in accordance with quality and guidelines as required.
  • Ensure Plant and tools are operated and maintained safely and correctly by yourself and others.
  • Through proactive, handson leadership, drive progress on site.
  • Demonstrate how to perform operations on site.
  • Delegate tasks to the appropriate member of their team.
  • Supervise and monitor all personnel on site: employees, agency workers, subcontractors and any other nonemployees and allocate work as appropriate.
  • To ensure quality control of all work carried out on site.
  • Carry out and write risk assessments for each site and each stage of development daily.
  • Complete daily diary record labour plant and material use.
  • Assist as appropriate labouring work including digging, paving, drainage and concreting, etc.
  • Ensure that all materials and plant are available for use as required and maintained and serviced by users and providers.
  • Ensure all employees on site work in line with the health and safety procedures. Both Company and client site specific
  • Ensure Risk Assessments are followed, and guidelines implemented
  • Especially in respect of PPE. This will include Face fit masking and certification.
  • Point of contact at site between CHAP and client team.

Qualifications:


  • CSCS Card
  • Driver's license
  • SMSTS or undertake appropriate training.

Essential Criteria:


  • Indepth, handson experience of Civils groundworks
  • Able to delegate tasks and ensure compliance with instruction
  • Able to communicate/coordinate with clients representatives as needed.
  • Willing to operate appropriate site plant and have/train for certification as requirede.g. Dumper/roller/excavator/

Desirable Criteria:


  • Extensive Civils operational project supervising experience including directing site works involving multi task and squad operations
  • SSE Authorisation CAT 1,2&
  • DOM's 11
  • SHEA Water/power


  • NCO Level

  • Competent in butt and electrofusion welding
  • IT Competent smart phone/tablet familiar

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends only
