SEN Maths Teacher

Special Educational Needs School

Birmingham

This outstanding SEN school is looking to add a specialist Maths Teacher to the team to teach small classes of children with a range of complex learning needs.

The school are happy to look at a Maths Specialist from either a Primary or Secondary background,as SEN experience is the most important requirement.

As a Maths teacher at this school you will have to differentiate lessons to suit the need of individual students, and will receive excellent support form an outstanding team of Teaching Assistants.

This school supports children with complex learning needs, autism, and some SEMH needs across Key Stages 3 & 4.

As a Maths Teacher you will be responsible for planning, marking and delivering lessons that are accessible for students who face academic barriers.

Behaviour is great and the TA's are brilliant at ensuring every child is supported appropriately. This role requires a QTS or QTLS Teacher who is passionate about ensuring every child has access to education.


Job role:


  • Teaching Mathematics across Key Stage 3 &
  • Working in partnership with teachers to promote Maths across the curriculum
  • Delivering intervention sessions with a maths focus
  • Making Maths fun, engaging and interesting for students
  • Understanding a range of additional learning needs
