The main purpose of this role is to provide IT support & training to end users and students across SRUC whilst maintaining and creating good working relationships with staff and colleagues and providing a high level of customer care.


Scope of Job:

  • Act as single point of contact through a shared service desk for IDS related queries
  • Support users (Staff, Students and other authorised users) in the resolution of issues with respect to using SRUC systems, equipment and facilities.
  • Configuration, installation and repair of equipment using automated tools or processes defined by IDS infrastructure managers or processes.
  • Undertake IT operations, such as equipment movement
  • Support business events where Audio Visual systems are required.
  • Log calls and undertake tasks as prioritised by the Service Desk system adopted to ensure adherence to IDS Service Level Agreements
  • Assist in creating a robust knowledge base by creating user friendly documentation/ help guides for staff/students and for support/service desk team.
  • Conduct site visits as required.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Line Manager

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide end user training in SRUC systems and processes.
