    Job Title: Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

    Location: Cambian Northampton School

    Type: Part-time, 8 hours per week

    Salary: Equivalent to £30,000.00 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)

    Role Overview:

    We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students by offering therapeutic support within our school community.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work under the guidance of the psychologist and headteacher to provide therapeutic support to students at Cambian Northampton School.
    • Offer low-level psychological interventions and consultations as directed.
    • Collaborate closely with operational staff, including teachers, SENCO, Pastoral Coordinator, and the Head Teacher.
    • Organize therapy and social groups/one-on-one sessions within the school and outreach settings.
    • Plan and organize therapy groups in consultation with the psychologist and headteacher.
    • Conduct informal observations of students within lessons and assist in planning actions to support integration, behavior, and emotional literacy.
    • Maintain accurate records under the supervision of the psychologist and headteacher.
    • Provide staff training on mental health topics and associated behaviors.
    • Engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) as needed.
    • Support students in achieving their full potential and future success.

    General Responsibilities:

    • Maintain reliable punctuality and attendance, following a flexible work schedule as necessary.
    • Adhere to Cambian Group policies and procedures.
    • Be vigilant to prevent and report any incidents of abuse promptly.
    • Participate in performance reviews and appraisal processes.
    • Receive regular clinical supervision from the psychologist.
    • Uphold confidentiality standards and respect individual differences.
    • Promote equal opportunities and foster positive relationships within the team.
    • Undertake additional tasks compatible with the role objectives.

    Health and Safety Responsibilities:

    • Maintain safe learning environments by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
    • Ensure the physical safety of individuals within the school premises.
    • Participate in safety inspections and follow safety protocols.
    • Report safety concerns promptly.
    • Take appropriate actions in emergencies.
    • Stay informed about health and safety regulations.

    Safeguarding Responsibilities:

    • Promote a culture of vigilance and accountability for safeguarding within the school community.
    • Take immediate action to protect individuals from abuse.
    • Report suspicions of abuse promptly.
    • Cooperate with safeguarding investigations.
    • Maintain confidentiality and prioritize safety and well-being.
    • Stay updated on safeguarding policies and legislation.
    • Create a supportive environment for disclosing concerns.

    By fulfilling these Health and Safety and Safeguarding responsibilities, the Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner plays a crucial role in ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of students and staff.
