Management Accountant

Doncaster / Leeds based but with some UK travel
My client is a local entrepreneur, and a qualified Accountant, that has built a diverse portfolio of successful businesses.

Due to the growth and expansion of the various businesses, my client has decided to engage a Management Accountant to work as hisno.2, to assist him with the day to day financial management of the companies, to allow him to focus on managing growth and future development.

The combined entities have a turnover of c.£30m and employ 150 people, plans are in place to increase that considerablyover the next 5 years, through a combination of organic growth and acquisition.

This is a very exciting opportunity, for a qualified Management Accountant to have a real impact on the businesses and, medium to long term, work towards a senior board level appointment.

Management Accountant responsibilities:

Preparation of monthly / quarterly management accounts, all associated reconciliations
Preparation of annual accounts for submission to reporting accountants
Overseeing and mentoring support staff to ensure financial information / data is accurate and timely
Preparation of management reports and activity analysis
Assistance with budgeting and financial planning
Overseeing day to day financial activities, payroll, VAT, cashflow, basic tax planning etc
Preferably qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
Maybe from a practice background, looking for an adventure
Good all rounder, be self motivated, willing to adapt to varied work environments, and possess a genuine interest in business and a desire to make an impact
Have demonstrable experience of adding value to a business, provide insight and analysis to shape strategy and aid decision making
Have a full driving licence with own vehicle

Remuneration:

- £45,000 - £60,000 depending on experience, including car or car allowance
