If you want to work in an outstanding Sixth Form in a school that looks after their staff, come and look at Davenant. We are looking for a Head of Year 13 or 12 to lead this year group from September. This is an excellent opportunity to start or enhance your pastoral experience in a school that has a large and successful Sixth Form provision. The ability to teach a subject to A level is preferable.
This position is a full time post We require someone who is enthusiastic, self-motivated and ambitious. Davenant Sixth Form was awarded outstanding by Ofsted in 2021 where the quality of teaching, extracurricular and careers support was recognised as a significant strength. We are having a brand-new purpose-built Sixth Form building built over the next 12 months which we are very excited about. The successful candidate will work with a dedicated team that always aims to improve the provision further for students.
Davenant achieves outstanding examination results. Our A level curriculum offer includes 22 A level subjects and many students do EPQ. The school has a strong focus on extra-curricular provision and seeks to nurture "mind, body and spirit". We expect our staff to be fully committed to this ethos.
We are situated close to the M25 and central line. We can easily be reached either from London or from the Essex/Hertfordshire countryside.
