The Company:

Brewster Partners are working with a highly successful firm who are looking to take on an experienced Payroll Officer to integrate into an exciting and dynamic environment, based in Halifax with excellent routes from surrounding areas.

The Role:

This is a full time, permanent role, based on site.

Reporting to senior management, the individual needs to be a strong communicator with efficient organisational skills to deal with preparing and running the payroll of the organisation.

The role will act as the first point of contact for any payroll queries with support from the wider team.

You will also ensure of accuracy of the payroll, whilst discussing opportunities of improvement to process with senior management.

As well as this youwill:

Accurately maintaining payroll processing on a month end to end basis
Dealing with new starters and leavers
Processing and maintenance of existing payroll software
Ensuring accurate processing of holiday payments
Calculating tax and national insurance deductions from allocated wages
Directly addressing with HMRC, resolving any queries that may arise
Processing tax forms to issue out
Resolving any issues with payslips and hours work
Filing of relevant reports

The Person:

Prior experience working within a high employee volume accountancy practice
2 year prior payroll experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient excel skills
