Financial Controller


Salary:
£75,000 - £85,000 + bonus & benefits


Reporting to:
Head of Finance


Location:
Wembley, London - 100% office based

Our client is a multinational conglomerate with a turnover of over £1bn.

In order to support future growth and increase the capabilities of the finance department, they now have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, driven and intelligent Financial Controller.


The Financial Controller will work closely with key stakeholders who take a very active approach to investment management, working on growth by providing financial modelling and commercial structuring support for new projects or growth initiatives.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure compliance of the Company's policies and procedures with that of the Group;
  • Deal with bank contact persons for daily banking transactions, credit facility, and any relevant banking requirements;
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (i.e., tax, legal, etc.);
  • Ensure the timely issuance of the annual audited financial statements of the Company
  • Overseeing the processes of financial forecasts and preparation of budgets, reviewing, monitoring and developing the company's annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Taking ownership of leading the preparation of all key financial analysis.
  • Leading participation on the financial due diligence of potential acquisitions, existing customers and bunker brokers and other business development activities.
  • Overseeing the drafting of financial due diligence reports and identification of key issues.
QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong financial modelling and financial analysis skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise workloads.
  • Previous experience in managing finance teams and strong leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders.
