    Sales Ledger Clerk at Lincoln

    Chase & Holland is thrilled to collaborate closely with an established non-profit organization in the Lincolnshire area seeking a Sales Ledger Clerk to join their Finance team. As the Sales Ledger Clerk, you'll handle phone queries and ensure supplier inquiries are promptly addressed to prevent any negative impact on the business. This role presents a valuable opportunity for individuals to gain experience and advance in their careers.

    What You'll Get:

    Responsibilities of the Sales Ledger Clerk:

    • Produce sales invoices and credit notes accurately and promptly
    • Ensure invoice accuracy and maintain updated customer data
    • Apply correct output VAT to invoices and credit notes in compliance with HMRC regulations
    • Address customer and academy queries, as well as ad-hoc requests
    • Distribute statements of account or duplicate invoices upon request
    • Maintain a transparent audit trail and secure financial documents
    • Allocate received payments to relevant invoices and reconcile remittances efficiently
    • Follow financial procedures including prepayments, proforma invoices, and management of deferred and/or accrued income
    • Ensure accurate classification of sales invoices into suitable business areas, nominals, and project categories
    • Conduct monthly evaluations and reports on accruals & transactions related to associated parties
    • Operate within monthly financial closing deadlines and other reporting schedules

    Required Skills & Experience:

    • Proven experience in a finance setting
    • Knowledge of sales ledger processes
    • Organized and efficient work approach
