Infrastructure Solution Architect

Rate - £750 to £800 PD (INSIDE IR 35) - Hybrid Working

Company Overview:


A leading financial services corporation is seeking an Infrastructure Solution Architect with recent experience architecting / designing technical solutions within the infrastructure domain.

The chose Infrastructure Solution Architect will have strong experienceworking with DELL, HP, Cisco, Storage Products (FC, SAN), Networking, Citrix (EUC) and Data Centre related technologies and be able to take my client a journey from on premise to cloud (Azure) environment within the financial domain.

Our client is looking to pay a date rate of up to £750 PD IIR35 for a 12 month project with scope to extend up to 36 months to be located in Chatham or Wolverhampton (3 days in office).


Core responsibilities:


  • Deliver an integrated IT Microsoft Services architecture within the existing programme work streams.
  • Deliver an integrated Infrastructure Architecture within the existing programme work streams. This will also involve designing SQL and Citrix solutions into our client.
  • Architecture deliverables including High Level Design (HLD) and facilitation of Low Level Design (LLD), Architecture Models and diagrammatic throughout all work stream activities.
  • Design and implement enterprise class solutions and services to support IT programmes while ensuring operational resilience and alignment to recognized frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Define architectures and internal systems designs with appropriate controls and monitoring capabilities through centrally managed monitoring and response services.
  • Support Project / Programme Managers to deliver project plans with estimated effort, delivery schedule and cost estimates for new initiatives and existing system upgrades.
  • Design and deliver secure architectures.
  • Deliver mature High Level Design's that clearly articulates the end to end holistic solution.

Core technical responsibilities:


  • 5+ years' of proven experience architecting and designing technical solutions within the Infrastructure Domain, working on DELL, HP, Cisco, Storage Products (FC, SAN), Networking, Citrix (EUC) and Data Centre is required.
  • 3+ years' experience with the following Microsoft solutions, Microsoft 365, Azure, Azure Stack and Azure AD is required.
  • 3+ years' experience with Microsoft SQL technologies, including Data Architecture is required.
  • 5+ years' of proven experience in at least two IT architecture disciplines, including Solutions Architecture, Systems Architecture, Business Architecture, Information/Data Architecture, Application/Service Architecture and Technology/Infrastructure Architectureis required.
  • 3+ years' of proven experience in business and technical problem solving is required.
  • Deep knowledge and implementation of Microsoft Azure cloud based services / solutions is required.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills are required.
  • Knowledge and experience in IT methodologies and life cycles is required.
